Prepare to Baa Edition

Project: Stata Mater

Have you ever witness a sheep fighting a group of bees? A queen bee on the verge of destroying a volcano to take over a planet? Well, you came to the right place. Project: Stata Mater is a game, where our protagonist, an ass kicking sheep named Norman goes beyond the lands to defeat the villainess Queen Bee in order to bring peace and glory to his normal boring life.

The story begins with the normal life of Norman on his way home shopping from the local market, where he overheard two Bees talking about the Queen Bee wanting to destroy the volcano so that she is able to take over the world. With that in mind, Norman rushes back into the market, grabs himself a black belt and a do-rag. And he knew, his life changed forever. The game will be in a 3-D platform using Unity with a 90's style with low-poly textures. The idea of levels and puzzles are also included with the ideal of having four to seven level, and the gameplay time of 5 minutes or less per level.

The environment will be set similar to Yellowstone and other various places. And there will be at least one to two cutscenes with voice acting to it. Some basic mechanics that are would be possible are head-butting as our combat system against the Queen's minions. As well a speed mechanic where the more flowers you find, your walk speed is increased. We would like to add more features if time to available.

Our statement of purpose is to entertain others with our game, and to make older gamers to feels nostalgia towards the retro aspects of our game. As well to able to challenge ourselves to make something great, and to inspire others wanting to be in the industry of game development. A sheep fighting a queen bee and her group sounds really fun, unique and interesting to develop and play. As well to dominate and to have fun with our competition. We also would like to make children worship a sheep as their role model one day.
